Should I train to failure?
For beginner lifters
- Focus on form and learning movement patterns.
- Give your body time to adapt to new loads.
- Avoid pushing to failure too early.
For experienced lifters
- Occasional max effort sets can be useful.
- Instead of failure, add a set or small weight increase.
- Progress should feel challenging, not punishing.
If I cannot finish the recommended sets, reps, or weight
You have two simple options:
- Lower the reps while keeping the same weight.
- Lower the weight while keeping the same reps.
If my first set feels too easy
- Complete the recommended first set.
- Add a small weight increase for the next set.
- If the second set is still easy, increase for the final set.
These adjustments are logged and help WyzFit calibrate future sessions.
Why are weights lower than expected?
- New movements start conservatively for safety.
- Time off can reduce your starting load.
- Older logs may influence early suggestions.
If it feels too light, increase weight slightly and the system will learn from your input.
